[PROZESS-FOKUS: LUBRICANT STICK TECHNOLOGY]

Solid Lubricant Sticks for Precision Extrusion

Formulated on engineered phase-change wax or bitumen matrices, our solid lubricant sticks deliver precise boundary lubrication directly to dies and mandrels, eliminating overspray and fluid waste.

Advantages of Solid Sticks over Liquids and Sprays

Our PROMET Stick-Lube solid lubricant sticks are mechanically applied via pneumatic devices directly against the hot tooling faces. Upon contact, the engineered carrier matrix undergoes a modulated phase transition, leaving a uniform, highly tenacious dry boundary film.

This completely prevents aerosol mist and workspace contamination while reducing lubricant consumption by up to 60%. Unlike liquid lubricants or sprays, there is no risk of surface blistering defects on the workpiece due to liquid entrapment.

Carrier Matrix Key Parameters

Phase-Change Melt Point:110°C – 150°C
Solid Content (BN/Graphite):20% – 40%
Thermal Boundary Limit:up to 1000°C
