Mitigating Seizure and Galling under Heavy Loads

PROMET assembly pastes utilize micro-fine crystalline graphite platelets dispersed in a high-temperature base oil. Under high pressure, the graphite lamellae align parallel to the metal face, providing a shear-resistant separator.

This prevents fretting corrosion on screw joints, mandrel slides, and locking keys of heavy extrusion presses. Bolts and mechanical fittings disassemble cleanly without damage, even after long periods of thermal exposure.
